Here's Zovko's pitiful excuse for an investigative report. Notice that he managed to coerce a 20 year old from his own house in order to charge him with a crime. I'm pretty sure there is some mention in the Constitution about being safe in one's home, unlawful searches and seizures, hmmm, maybe the constitution doesn't apply in Pinal County. That's the spirit, Nick. If you can't find the real perpetrator, find someone else to charge, drag him out of his home, file a report! Case Closed!
But then the store decided to charge someone, anyone. And Zovko was just too happy to accommodate. No investigation required. And Sgt. Vargas certainly didn't bother to supervise. Just sign off on it without question. I guess people are elevated to sergeant in Pinal County from longevity alone.
Here's the way to keep it impersonal. Just type up the paperwork, mail it off and destroy a life. Don't bother to investigate. Why chat with the person whose life you are about to ruin.
