Election Day 2012 - Please Vote!

Well, we are down to the wire.  Tomorrow is the day when we will determine whether Sheriff Babeu and his "Merry Men" remain in power or whether we will see a new sheriff and a new administration.  A sheriff who might require those whom he deputizes to actually abide by the oath they take.  Our sheriff has been so busy trying to keep himself in the national spotlight that he has ignored the citizens of Pinal County.  His aspirations to Congress may be temporarily on hold due to the brief negative press he received following his 'outing' by a former lover.  But, make no mistake, he will make another run for national office.  His narcissism will not allow otherwise.  And when he does, we need to remember how ineffective he has been at the local level. 

I have to wonder how many times he has ignored other undocumented aliens' status in attempting to make a sexual conquest.  Why has this been largely ignored by the press?  Babeu has made his reputation as a dedicated warrior against illegals and their drug and human smuggling.  How many drugs were allowed to enter our county and how many innocent lives have been impacted because our sheriff was either blackmailing a lover with threats of deportation or was being blackmailed with threats of exposure?  And while these personal matters were demanding most of his time and energy, who was minding the store?  Zovko, who can't investigate his posterior with both hands?  Sgt. Vargas who rubber stamps any and all reports he receives without bothering to ascertain whether an actual investigation took place?  Talk about putting the inmates in charge of the asylum...................

Babeu still hasn't admitted any knowledge of the travesty his department perpetrated on my family.  He hasn't had the decency to respond to any of my letters.  Perhaps he has no knowledge of them either.  Maybe he has no knowledge of the complaints that were filed with his department in reference to this case.  And maybe he is totally unaware of the shameful conduct of his department in general.  Babeu should be aware of all these things.  This is the department that he has responsibility for.  He has no excuse for not having this knowledge.  But perhaps all his knowledge is carnal.

Election Day - November 6, 2012.  This could be a turning point in the history of Pinal County, Arizona.  A defining moment that could have a much larger impact, perhaps going all the way to Washington.  For, if we vote for truth and justice, if we demand honesty and accountability from our local politicians, why should we expect less from those at the federal level?  If we hold our politicians to a level of integrity and truthfulness that we expect from ourselves, then perhaps we can stem the tide of deceit, self-interest and egotism that seem to pervade our government and create a brighter and more promising future for all. 



 

Do you really know your Pinal County officials?

I knew the Pinal County officials only by name prior to March of 2011.  I became aware of their true nature after that time.  I speak primarily of Sheriff Paul Babeau and his deputy, Nick Zovko as well as Pinal County Prosecutor, James Walsh and his assistant, Lawrence Wharton.  There may be others whose competence should be brought into question, however those listed above have a combined incompetence and malfeasance rating to rival that of any third world dictatorial regime.


These elected officials and those that they empower will be asking for your vote soon.  When you cast your vote, I hope you will be familiar enough with these people to make an informed decision.  I would like to detail my experience with these four individuals and ask for examples of others' experiences as well.  I have been told by several local attorneys that our experience is by no means unique in the Oracle area.


Take a look at the time line of the Malicious prosecution on the pages at the right.  Then look at the evidence and make up your own mind about the incompetence of these individuals, the malicious nature of the attempted prosecution and the literal persecution of my son and my family.  If you really think these are the types of people who should be elected to positions of power, then by all means give them your vote.  But I submit to you that, if they can do this to my family, they can do it to yours, as well.
